Coronavirus Policy for new bookings.
Should your event be directly affected by the Coronavirus and the venues in your booking can no longer accept your group, you have the following options.
- We would offer to change any affected activities to an alternate option.
- You could receive a refund for any affected activities.
- Should your whole package be unable to proceed, you would be eligible for a refund minus £20pp deposits OR Free change of Date.
Suppliers have worked hard since the beginning of the pandemic to be as flexible as possible, to operate safely under a multitude of possible restrictions. Whether that be distancing guidelines, table service, max group numbers etc.
It is more important than ever to have comprehensive travel insurance in place. Should you test positive and can no longer attend your booking, any refunds would be a case for your Travel insurance company. Should your travel plans be directly affected, again this would be a case for your Travel Insurance. Not Hangover Weekends or the end Suppliers. HW's can supply any evidence required to claim through your Travel insurance.
The initial deposits taken from your group go towards various costs implicated in booking with Hangover Weekends. We have to insure each group member against financial failure, there are transaction fees for all payments made via our platform, and staff costs to manage your account, secure events with supplies etc. Under normal circumstance we do not charge customers for the above costs, however those are costs that HW cannot recoup. Placing a booking during the Coronavirus pandemic, you as the customer, understand that these deposits, under no circumstances, can be refunded.
What we have done during the pandemic?
We had hundreds of groups affected this year by the coronavirus pandemic, we were always available via phone, email and Whatsapp. We kept in constant contact with our customers to keep everyone up to date with the situation and worked swiftly to rearrange groups where possible. Unfortunately a lot of bookings had to be cancelled and we refunded hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Is my money safe?
Yes, we are fully insured with Towergate financial failure insurance / Protected Trust Services. We are aware that customers are rightly concerned about booking with a Tour operator / Travel agent during this time. However should anything happen to Hangover Weekends, your money would be returned in full, from the insurance company. Therefore for any current bookings, please continue with peace of mind, to make payments as per usual.
You will notice that we still have our verified reviews on https://www.reviews.co.uk/company-reviews/store/hangover-weekends
And we still maintain a very high score throughout the pandemic, this shows how professionally and ethically we have dealt with the situation.
