More Information

A new and unique driving experience. Our drives let you get behind the wheel and actually experience driving, off road; on track that were once used by the military, our ex army historic vehicles.

All drives are professionally conducted, commencing with a safety do’s and don’ts and brief history of the vehicles to be used. You will then alternate your drives with others of your group approx every 8/10 or so. Your instructor will make sure all goes well. (Note, if it proves that you are not competent to drive, for what ever reason, your drive will be stopped for obvious reasons. ) The experience is aimed to give you the chance to drive these older army vehicles in situations similar to those for which they were designed all those years ago.

The vehicles that we use are a 1952 Rolls Royce powered 3 litre Austin Champ 4x4 jeep, seating 3 passengers, a 1974 V8 powered Land Rover 101,converted artillery tractor, seats 7, and an ex special service Long Wheelbase Land Rover with a BREN WW2 machine gun. (de-activated !)seating up to 7 people.

The best drives are really for groups of between 2 to 10 people. For larger ones we include a third vehicle. These experiences take place to the south of Salisbury, at Downton. A very accessible starting location
