The Somerset Lodge — The Perfect Hen Party Getaway
Bring your favourite girls together for an unforgettable hen weekend in Somerset — a beautifully converted contemporary countryside retreat designed for celebrating, relaxing and making memories together.
With stylish social spaces, six spacious ensuite bedrooms and an impressive line-up of leisure facilities, the lodge is the perfect setting for a luxury hen party, whether you’re planning a laid-back girls’ weekend, a big birthday celebration or a full weekend of fun before the big day.
Space to celebrate together
Gather everyone around the table for long, leisurely meals in the spectacular double-height dining room, with plenty of space for the whole group and bi-fold doors opening onto the garden. After dinner, settle into the spacious lounge with its cosy wood burner and Smart TV, or keep the competition going in the games room with pool and table football.
Outside is where the fun really comes to life. Enjoy your own private heated swimming pool, available from April to October, as well as a hot tub and large sauna — perfect for relaxing, catching up and raising a glass together. There are beautiful gardens, patios and outdoor dining areas for sunny afternoons and al fresco celebrations.
Guests can also enjoy the larger shared heated pool in the walled garden from May to September, with your own private 2.5-hour session each day. There’s also table tennis, croquet, football and lawn games for anyone who wants to get competitive.
Six beautiful ensuite bedrooms
The lodge sleeps groups comfortably across six spacious ensuite bedrooms. Flexible bed arrangements mean rooms can be configured as kings or singles, making them ideal for groups of friends with different requirements.
Several bedrooms are on the ground floor, making the lodge particularly convenient for mixed-age groups and guests who prefer easier access.
A kitchen made for celebrations
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cater for a big group, including a range cooker, two dishwashers, an additional oven and generous preparation space.
Whether you’re planning a big brunch, a relaxed dinner or snacks and fizz throughout the weekend, there’s plenty of room to make the kitchen part of the social experience.
Your own private countryside escape
Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Upton Bourn Lodge feels wonderfully private, with fields on two sides and footpaths leading directly to three excellent local pubs serving food, beer and cider.
From poolside drinks and hot-tub chats to long dinners, competitive games and countryside walks, Somerset Lodge gives you everything you need for a memorable hen weekend with your favourite people.
